This State CGEP Site is a resource to help coordinate all of the information needed for students exploring the program and looking for more specific information about a specific receive site. The site should allow you to locate needed information about each schools programs and requirements, as well as, general information about the program itself.

How do I register for classes at a specific University?

How do I apply for the Commonwealth Graduate Engineering Program?
You can visit the PROSPECTIVE STUDENT page for application information.

What are the requirements to enroll in CGEP?
The basic requirements:
      -Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering field
      -A GPA of 3.0 or higher
      -The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is required by some departments
      -Those not meeting basic requirements will be reviewed on an individual basis.

Do you have out-of-state receive sites?
At this time we only have corporations that serve as receive sites for their employees. We are considering other means of serving out-of-state students.

Do I have to enroll in a master's degree program to take a CGEP course?
No, a student may take courses as a non-degree student before enrolling in a master's degree program.  (Number of courses may vary among institutions.)

Do you have courses for undergraduates?
Presently CGEP offers only post baccalaureate courses.

Do you offer professional development or softskill courses?
Yes, we have several courses that can be taken through the Continuing Education Centers.

Can I take courses from two different Universities?
You can have 50% of your course work from one of the other Universities in the program other than your home University.
