EGMN 691: Sp Topic: Open FOAM:  Hands-on Experiences for Solving CFD Engineering Problems

The course is offered for students who are interested to learn about Open-source Field Operation And Manipulation (OpenFOAM) software toolkit ( and its practical applications for solving Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) engineering problems. This introductory course will include a short revision of the fundamentals of CFD and entirely consist of hands-on training sessions on solving typical CFD problems.  OpenFOAM C++ code structure, CFD case setup, and simulations of laminar, turbulent, and multiphase flows in various geometric configurations with visualization of results using ParaView tool will be provided in detail.  Any prior knowledge of C++ or CFD is not required to follow this course.
