CE 5500: Construction Estimating

This course provides an in-depth understanding of how a general contractor (GC) pursues, estimates, bids and procures construction work. The course covers topics from conceptual estimating, to bidding projects, to the award of contracts. Upon completion of the course, students should have a greater understanding of how a GC estimates their pricing, how subcontractors are evaluated, and how the GC awards subcontracts for the various trades.
