The course covers: (1) preliminaries of information and informatics; (2) information and knowledge modeling; (3) fundamental concepts, models, tools, and applications of Big Data; and (4) digital mechanisms of trust and security, including: digital asset access control, digital signature, digital certification, Public Key Infrastructures, and Blockchains
